All those comforting, heady perfumes coming from the oven from the satisfying and rewarding work of hundred year old Hellenic recipes.
Let’s warm up with the Magirefta (Braises, Roasts, Slow Cooked dishes).
All the classics included here – the legendary kotopoulo & patates lemonates (lemon roast chicken & potatoes), the famous mousaka (lamb or vegetarian) & pastitsio (the Greek lasagna), as well as the not-so-famous, arni kleftiko, pork or lamb fricasse, stifado (with rabbit, octopus, or beef), giouvetsi (with seafood, goat or lamb) and more….
Add to the above all the celebrity sticky & sweet Glyka (desserts) that Greeks are famous for such as baklava, bougatsa (sticky sweet custard pie), galaktobourko (sticky semolina custard pie) & warm loukoumathes (walnut & honey or fig stuffed donuts), and winter will never be cold, wet and miserable again (unless it’s in a Greek Tragedy)!…..
